Can death be a POSIWID?

Most large socio-technical systems are experienced by those within them as stifling and repressive. The logic of the system design generates non-sense in its application and implementation. So the purpose of these systems must be to oppress and control, to make people impotent. In engaging with these systems we are engaging in some weird anxiety defence that avoids the necessity of taking real decisions or having attributable consequences.

Such is the predominance of these systems in our assessment culture, where only what is officially measured can be real, that the overall system may collapse under its own weight, cost and absurdity. What are we to make of the POSIWID of a system that has a death-wish?
