Common Sense Policing

I am delighted to report that four English police forces (Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Surrey and West Midlands) have decided to tear up government targets and bureaucracy, and return to common-sense policing.
This decision will mean that the Surrey force will lose its position at the top of the league tables; but I'm sure Surrey residents won't be taking to the streets of Guildford in protest.

Let's hope that this example is followed by other organizations in the public sector plagued by stupid targets and pointless league tables.
